China Factories In Guang Dong Province Hurting

I just heard from a Chinese factory owner friend who was behind on his payments to his factory building landlord.   He was in the hospital.   He said the landlord sent some thugs after him to collect payment.   My friend is in the hospital with memory loss and stitches in his head.    I have heard many more stories of this happening as factories are closing because of slow orders or US and European customers are not paying them.   All signs show that the recession has not bottomed in China yet.
I also see signs that the Chinese housing bubble will burst in 2009 like it did in US in 2008.   With more and more Chinese people not keeping up with their mortgage payments as their businesses close.    The China Government, in recent newspaper articles are trying to do their best with supporting large and small business owners and also are preparing the Chinese people and businesses to expect the recession to get deeper in 2009.

back to US from China

Happy to be back to the States.  Having a tough time adjusting to the western way of life and the Missouri weather.  Should be in the states until February , after the Chinese New Year holiday.

from China

First Blog under my name.

On my 16th floor apartment overlooking a park watching chinese people play badmitton in the dark and under a street light.

Also testing my new solar lights. Still flickering after a full day of sun collecting from inside our window.

More later.
